Andrew Kay, Western Australia.

Sculptor, Designer, Artist.
Andrew Kay's studio and bronze casting foundry are situated in the hills not far from Perth, with easy access to Western Australia's wonderful coastline. He says "Being so close to the beach and native forests provides me with an unending source of inspiration, with many of the animals that I encounter in the bush and on diving expeditions becoming the focal point for my sculptures. I cast all my own sculpture at my studio in Roleystone, using the lost wax method of producing fine art bronze sculpture. This gives me total control over my sculpture and casting, ensuring that my finished sculptures are of the highest quality."

"(Andrew) Kay feels the dialogue of academics and the rhetoric that often accompanies fine art these days is non-productive and mostly ignored by the many people who just want to understand the idea being proffered by the artwork. He believes every work of art should be able to speak for itself and should be given to its audience to be interpreted by each individual viewer.

(He) prefers to make images rather than propaganda; however, there is one statement that can be read in every one of his sculptures. All aspects of nature are equal, we are all voyagers on the same journey and dependent on one another."
