Hugo is a Professor of ceramics, and enamel on metal at the University of Art of the Argentine, IUNA and along with artist-enameller Valeria Serrudo he maintains the diverse and interesting art gallery website "LineaLibre".
He has participated in many national and international exhibitions, received a number of distinctions and prizes and has works in private collections and museums around the world.
Hugo uses a mixture of techniques in his works, often incorporating a variety of materials and found objects such as clockworks and other mechanisms, exotic woods and a diversity of metals. An attraction to indigenous art, and its influence on him can be seen in the style of recent pieces and demonstrate also his constant search for a new perspective.
