"Dusk", Alphonse Maria Mucha, 1899. Finding Your Way Around eNAMEL. eNAMEL will initially be produced every second month. Central to each issue will be a "featured enameller" and some of their work, and when time permits a "featured enamel" which will generally be an historic or antique piece. We'll also include articles by and about knowledgeable practitioners in fields related to vitreous enamelling. Hand engraving and engine turning (guilloche) are two highly-specialized and demanding disciplines which spring readily to mind. The minimum of text commensurate with providing necessary information, and a maximum of good pictures will be the criteria for any article published. Occasionally, basic instructional articles (mainly "how to's" for beginning enamellers) will be included. Navigating around the site is straightforward. Articles are self-contained and linear. Start at the front or main page by clicking an article description e.g. V1 #2 Sep 2001: Kristin Anderson, champleve enamel jewelry or one of the pictures in the right hand navigation bar and move from page to consecutive page within the article using the ARROW buttons. Clicking on HOME takes you straight back to the main page. There are no cross links between articles. There are links to external websites throughout and these will open in a separate window. When you close that window you'll be back in eNAMEL. You may email an individual directly by clicking the text below a picture in the right hand column on the main page. Submission Guidelines We'll make every attempt to include timely information sent to us about upcoming exhibitions, shows, events, and new Web pages. When you email us please identify yourself - the officeboy automatically bins unsigned correspondence and stuff without an entry in the "subject" field. eNAMEL will showcase people who have a web presence with pictures of the quality featured in this issue, and accepts submissions in digital form only i.e. via email, on floppy disc or CD. All images and text on this website remain the Copyright Property of the individual/s or entities concerned and may not be reproduced in any form other than as part of the complete digital eNAMEL newsmagazine without the written permission of the Copyright holder/s. They are easy enough to contact - please extend them that courtesy. Al Heywood |
